Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 September 2026 · askmessy.com

The product

AskMessy is a digital tool that helps you turn messy customer inquiries into draft estimate PDFs. Unless we clearly say otherwise on the site, it is a one-shot digital product — typically $29 per clean PDF unlock, or credit packs (for example 5-pack / 20-pack) as shown on the pricing page. There is no subscription unless we explicitly offer one and you choose it.

Estimates are not contracts or legal advice

Outputs are planning estimates only. They are not contracts, warranties, insurance documents, or legal advice. You must review and edit every line, price, assumption, and credential before you send anything to a customer. You remain responsible for what you issue under your own business name.

Your account of use

Credits and unlock state typically live on your browser session. Keep that browser (and any download) if you need the clean PDF again. Losing session data may mean losing unused credits on that device.

Refunds

Because this is a digital product delivered immediately, refunds are limited. If a paid clean PDF failed to generate or unlock after a successful payment, contact us within 7 days with enough detail to find the checkout (for example date, amount, and quote link). We will take a reasonable look and, where the failure was on our side, offer a fix, credit, or refund as appropriate. We do not refund simply because a customer declined your estimate or you changed your mind after a successful download.

Acceptable use

  • Use the tool for lawful business estimating only.
  • Do not paste illegal content, malware, or other people's confidential data without permission.
  • Do not abuse the service (scraping, overload, reverse-engineering payment flows, or trying to unlock PDFs without paying).
  • Do not present AskMessy drafts as contracts, solicitor work, or certified valuations.

Limitation of liability (plain English)

The service is provided "as is." Drafts can be wrong, incomplete, or based on incomplete inputs. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for lost jobs, pricing mistakes, customer disputes, downtime, or consequential loss arising from use of the drafts or PDFs. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that UK law does not allow us to exclude (for example death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Where liability can be limited, our total liability for a claim related to a purchase is limited to the amount you paid us for that purchase.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law in your country gives you mandatory rights that cannot be waived.
